Showing a speed of 9.5 knots Yves Parlier and Aquitaine Innovations maybe starting to show the effects of the Doldrums.
Josh Hall Gartmore "I am staying in the middle
of the fleet, between the two extremes Ellen Macarthur in the West and Yves
Parlier in the East. It’s not time yet for me to take risks." Fedor Konioukhov Modern University for the Humanities "I
began to write a book about my resent participation in Iditarod-2000 dog sled
race across Alaska. On my boat computer, I have digital pictures of my 22 dogs.
It’s amazing, sailing alongside of African coast I am watching pictures of my
husky dogs in Alaska. I could hardly believe this expedition was 6 month ago. It
was a fruitful year for me, two great adventures like Iditarod and Vendee Globe
in one year! I hope the God will let me complete year 2000 successful." Weather Forecast From Ellen Macarthur on Kingfisher "I believe the Doldrums will be a little bit more in the East. Today, it seems the area is located 25° West/5°North." What does it all mean Leaders closing on the Doldrums. Their goal is to
his them at their narrowest point. This is made difficult as the narrowest
point is ever changing. A wrong choice could make a big difference in tomorrow's
leader board.
